How csv to json works

CSV is parsed with Papa Parse, which handles quoted fields, embedded commas and line breaks correctly. JSON is produced as an array of objects keyed by your header row.

Turn off header if your file is pure data — you then get arrays instead of objects.
Type inference turns 42 into a number and true into a boolean.
Going the other way, the union of keys becomes the header row.

FAQ

What if my JSON is a single object?

It is wrapped in an array automatically, so you still get a valid one-row CSV.

Are nested objects supported?

Top-level keys become columns; nested values are written as JSON strings inside the cell.

Is my spreadsheet uploaded?

No. Parsing happens in your browser — useful when the CSV contains customer data.
