About

A file converter that does not want your files

Most conversion sites ask you to upload a document, wait, then hand back a download link. That means your file sits on a stranger's server. ConvertFileHub removes that step entirely.

Why this exists

Converting a PNG to JPG should not require an account, a queue, a watermark or a privacy policy full of exceptions. Every tool here runs in the browser tab you already have open. The file is read from your disk, transformed in memory, and handed straight back to you.

What that means in practice

  • Nothing is uploaded. There is no conversion endpoint, because there is no conversion server.
  • Nothing is stored. No filenames, no contents, no history. Close the tab and the data is gone.
  • No account, no limits. There is no free tier to upgrade from and no daily counter.
  • It works offline. Once a page has loaded, the converter keeps working without a connection.

How it is built

The site is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript with a handful of well-known open-source libraries: PDF-Lib for writing PDFs, PDF.js for reading them, JSZip for archives, Papa Parse for CSV, Marked for Markdown and a compact QR encoder. There is no tracking script, no analytics pixel and no third-party tag beyond the optional ad slot.

How it is funded

Unobtrusive display ads. They are the reason the tools can stay free without an account, a file-size cap or a "pro" button hiding the real feature. If you block them, the tools still work exactly the same.

What it will never do

  • Ask you to sign up to download your own file.
  • Add a watermark to your output.
  • Send your file anywhere, including to us.
  • Sell, share or analyse what you convert.
